The Australian Drilling Industry Association is delighted to announce that DrillFest 2011 will be held in ROCKHAMPTON on 28 and 29 September.
TRAINING COURSE: GROUTING FOR WATER BORES
Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 September OR
Friday 30 September and Saturday 1 October
The ADIA is running two training courses on this critical subject, one before and one immediately after DrillFest. This course, recently developed by the National Uniform Drillers Licensing Committee, will cover the key fundamentals of ‘grouting’ including all the calculations and best industry practise. However, to enable participants to demonstrate what they have learnt, the course will include a practical component where the attendees will be required to calculate the volume of grout required for a hole; mix (and test) the grout to be installed, and perform the task insitu. Depco has very generously provided the holes for this phase. Brian Kunde, well known in the NT and most of the north, will present these two courses. This is a valuable opportunity for Drillers from all sectors to learn about proper grouting procedures. It will also be a good refresher for many?
