INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
The Australian Drilling Industry Association, an organisation who represents drilling contractors and associated businesses involved in the water well; mineral exploration; civil construction and CSG sectors, wishes to employ an Industry Development Officer to service its members in Queensland and New South Wales.
Established in 1982, the ADIA has approx. 900 members, ranging from small owner-operators to large publicly-listed companies. It includes drilling contractors, suppliers, consultants and individual members. Membership has been steadily growing over recent years and the organisation is well regarded by industry stakeholders. Reporting to the CEO, this is a new role supporting two existing IDOs in Western Australia and Victoria.
The prime objectives of the position are :-
• build awareness and increase the profile of the Association and the Industry
• increase face-to-face contact with members and gather industry intel
• effectively represent the industry to related bodies and stakeholders
• promote the benefits of membership to stakeholders and affiliates
• organise regional forums to address relevant issues and concerns
The position requires an individual with a mature understanding of today’s business requirements, and would ideally suit someone with experience within the Australian mining or construction sectors. It also calls for A1 communication and presentation skills – both written and oral. We also anticipate that the successful applicant will be able to work effectively solo or as an integral member of a small but skilled team.
This is a full-time position, based in the eastern states. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated to secure the individual we require.
