Screens and Gravel Pack

Our Screens and Gravel Pack course is an interactive, hands-on, classroom-based program.

They are presented by an industry professional and run for two days. Our partnering company provides a product specialist to educate participants on the latest industry products.

This course is ideal for drillers, supervisors, and managers involved in waterwell or environmental drilling.

  • Grasp the knowledge needed to design and construct screened water bores in alluvial formations: using either natural formation or artificial gravel packing techniques, including sieve analysis.
  • Learn what types of screens exist, how they can be used for different projects, and the best way to install them.
  • Explore methods for well development and rehabilitation.

Mud Techniques and Testing

Our Mud Techniques and Testing courses are interactive, hands-on, classroom-based programs that highlight the critical role of mud selection in drilling efficiency.

Led by an industry expert, these two-day courses feature ongoing participation from a product specialist from our partnering company, providing valuable insights into the latest industry products and best practices for optimising drilling performance.

Our Cement and Grout course is designed to enhance knowledge of pressure cementing as used in waterwell and other types of drilling.

Led by industry experts, this course runs for two days, giving participants the opportunity to master the essential skills and knowledge for cement grouting across a range of drilling applications and sectors.

Designed to align with key units of competency from the national Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package, this course is suited to Drillers Offsiders and those completing their Certificate II in Drilling Operations.

    • RIINHB218D – Assist grouting or cementing operations
  • Explore materials, equipment and additives used in grouting applications
